1951 Stude

Resim
Jim's 1951 Stude My old '51 Studebaker started out being pulled up backwards onto a backhoe hauler. It didn't have an engine or rearend(only the leaf springs) and the transmission was setting in the front seat. Someone had tried to tow it without anyone behind the wheel and it hit a parked car. Needless to say there wasn't much to start with. It still needs paint, but underneath the stock body is a mix of parts including a mustang front suspension, Alston ladder bar 9" 4:11 ford posi, 450 H.P. sbc, 3,500 stall built turbo 350. I did all the work myself except the trans which is an Art Carr item. The truck only weighs 2,800 lbs and is loaded with all the right goodies, MSD 6AL, 3" Hooker exhaust, Victor jr, I don't have a time slip to put up but I beat my friends 68 ElCamino and it runs low 12's(stomped it by ten cars). Thanks for showing my truck. Jim

Mike's 1958 Ford It's a 1958 Ford F-100 Styleside Custom Cab bought February 1998 with only 52,400 original miles on it. There's a 223 straight 6 under the hood with a 1 barrel carb, and not much else (no AC, power or anything new, and acres of room to work). Inside is a standard 4 speed on the floor. This truck is in 99.9% original condition. The only things added are a vacuum gauge in the instrument panel, underdash AM radio, tire mounts and a small tool box in the bed. When I went on your website and viewed your gallery of "Farm Finds" I just had to send you my beauty! After I looked at all the other old rusty trucks sitting in fields, I didn't feel so bad. This will be my first restoration project ever! With the help of my husband and father, we plan on getting this baby on the road hopefully in the next 5-10 years! I recently emailed Ford Canada and requested some historical information on this truck, and they will be sending something to me soon (just to see what this truck looked like in the "good old days". This poor old truck has been sitting in my parents field at the farm for as long as I can remember (I'm 29 years old). I finally took the initiative and asked my father if I could have it and fix it up. Now the trouble to try to get the ownership in my name! No one remembers who the previous owner was (probably dead) so I go on a hunt to get it in my name! Wish me luck. Debbie

Kyle's 1955 Merc Here are a couple pictures of my 55 Mercury pickup. It gets attention everywhere I take it. The truck is one of a very few Mercurys that are stock and mine is Very Stock!!! I took it to the F100 supernationals where it took home a "Mercury Best-of-Show" and it has apperaed in many national magazines. I live in Houston Texas and I am in the process of building a '53 Ford and I have a '52 waiting behind that one. Kyle

1954 Ford

Resim
Buck & Ken's 1954 Ford This 1954 Ford was bought by my uncle, and it was boringly a one family car locally owned in Prunedale Cal. for all those years. Me and my uncle are going to completely restore this "old truck". So that is looks brand new. We plan to take it down to the frame and clean and paint every thing. Hopefully when we are done with the 54 ford project we can send u more pictures of it when it is done with restoration.

1952 Ford

Johns 1952 Ford Here are a few pictures of my "new" 1952(ish) F-1. I say '52ish due to it having a '50 cab and '53 bed. I recently got it and the parts truck to my parents place and have began dismantling the parts truck (a '52 panel truck). I am using the parts truck's frame because it is all original, unlike my trucks which has been converted to 4x4. So far I have been obtaining as many parts as I can and have begun restoration on the frame. It is going to be a long process (lengthened mostly by one more year at penn state) but I'm looking forward to it. If you are in the Pittsburgh area and have any parts or know of any good junk yards feel free..

Here are a couple pics of my ol' '50 Ford 1/2 ton. I've had it since 1971 ($150) and I've driven the heck out of it. Either traveling around the West with my camper, hauling firewood, going to bluegrass festivals or just commuting to work from Crestline to San Bernardino. In 1989, I finally retired my old friend and started a long process of transformation into a street rod. I had no intention of ever doing this much in the first place. I bought a copy of Classic Truck magazine and I got the bug. I went to metal everywhere. I went to swap meets. I went to shows. I went to paint shops. I went to parts houses. And lets not forget wrecking yards. I finally got done this summer and now I can actually drive it. Oh ya! Antonio's 1947 Ford Here are photos of a 1947 PU directly from S. Paulo, Brazil where I live. This PU nicknamed "Grandpa", had when I bought it a 70's Galaxie and a 4 speed trans on. After a lot a serching, which is not an easy task in Brazil, found a mechanic who had a few flatheads and original 3 speed transmissions in excelent conditions. Now Grandpa is in the process of receiving engine and trans in a few weeks time. Will bring it back to 6volts and upholstery same as original. One thing remains open: is exterior paint. What you see is a black and white finish that I may bring to full original black. Antonio L. D'Auria S. Paulo - Brazil

Ryan's 1960 Dodge This is my recently accquired 1960 Dodge D600 Dump Truck. It has a 22000 GVR, and a wide 318 with a two barrel carb, 4spd manual tranny with a 2spd rear. It runs ok and drives...... like a big truck ! I purchased it from a farmer who had used it in his fields for over 20 years. The price was rediculosly low, and I couldnt live without it. I plan to restore it someday, and use it for a car hauler/dump truck

Wynn's 1958 Dodge D100 This is my early 1958 Dodge D100. Note, most '58s have 4 headlights. Mine has room, but came from the factory with only 2. It has a '78 318 with a 904 trans and 273 gears. It has early 70s Chrysler sport wheels and the bucket seats and console from an '81 Olds Omega. Its undergoing constant upgrade, but it will always appear pretty stock.

Ben's 1957 Dodge My diamond in the rough. This is my 57 Dodge D100. When my wife and I were expecting She turned to me and said If you ever want another toy, you'd better get one now In less than a month I rounded up this beauty. It is a very solid all metal truck, it sports a very healthy 383 and 727 combo that has no trouble getting me into trouble. I certified it within the first week and drive it when I'm not modifying it. I am having the camero clip done at mountain auto body as we speak and then its on to the body after I round up the rest of the parts for the box. It was a flat bed but now has a 51 box minus a 48" x 22" tail gate that I haven't been able to track down. I'm going to paint it amber fire pearl as seen on the Dodge Dakota's and RT's. The truck is a blast to drive and the fun part is I have yet to meet another one on the road. With the exception of a 56 Fargo with a 57 nose piece at mopar fest in Cambridge Ontaio Canada, 2½ hours...

Richard Pruett I bought this truck as a 1948 model but after bringing the truck home and doing some research, I discovered it is a 1951 model. The cab is indeed from a 48-49 but the "Job-Rated" medallion on the grill is chrome plated and 1951 was the only year they chrome plated that piece. I also own a parts truck that is a 1948-49 model and plan to sell off parts I don't need. This '51 came with a Deluxe cab and the hood ornament that was optional for that year. My plans were to built a street rod as I also own a wrecked '79 Chrysler 300 with a 360 cu in and posi-rear but after closer inspection have decided to keep the truck original.

Tom & Ken's 1942 Dodge

This truck started out as a parts truck for the 1947 Dodge 1-Ton Tow Truck we were going to "refurbish". When we got all done POWERWASHING it, we decided that it would be better for us to fix it up instead. Even though we guess we've been working on it off and on for about five years, I am completely amazed at how many people who have told us that they would never have the patience to do what we did. Our response to them always is... If it starts getting to you, then just put it aside and come back to it later. This truck has been around for 58 years, a few more weeks or so won't hurt. Probably the hardest part is finding all the parts. If it was a Ford or a Chevy, we'd just open up a J.C.Whitney Catalog (1-800-J C WHITNEY) and fill in the order form. No Such Luck. But that's O.K. We've gone to countless Swap-Meets, Junk-Yards, and met many new & interesting people, all in the Father & Son Quest For '39-'47 Dodge Truck Parts. At Swap-...

I used most of the original frame which I boxed and backed halved it to make room for the 4 link suspension with ford 9" and 18.5" wide Mickies, the front suspension is a mustang II set up so I had power steering and brakes, I took a 360 and put on X heads, polished and ported, cam etc to build motor so it should be around 400 horse followed up by a rebuilt 727 tranny, still use original rad and it keeps it nice and cool, the truck retains all of original steel panels with the exception of the tubs in the box, I got rid of center grill section and smoothed front end a bit and hinged the hood at the top to avoid scratching the lights. The interior I used the second set of buckets from a late model caravan (grey leather) and made all the rest to match, Lokar floor shifter, tilt column, new gauges that fit right in the existing holes so really the inside is not cut up at all, windshield still cranks out, I put 100 hrs of block sanding high solids primer to smooth it right out as...
