1951 Stude

Resim
Jim's 1951 Stude My old '51 Studebaker started out being pulled up backwards onto a backhoe hauler. It didn't have an engine or rearend(only the leaf springs) and the transmission was setting in the front seat. Someone had tried to tow it without anyone behind the wheel and it hit a parked car. Needless to say there wasn't much to start with. It still needs paint, but underneath the stock body is a mix of parts including a mustang front suspension, Alston ladder bar 9" 4:11 ford posi, 450 H.P. sbc, 3,500 stall built turbo 350. I did all the work myself except the trans which is an Art Carr item. The truck only weighs 2,800 lbs and is loaded with all the right goodies, MSD 6AL, 3" Hooker exhaust, Victor jr, I don't have a time slip to put up but I beat my friends 68 ElCamino and it runs low 12's(stomped it by ten cars). Thanks for showing my truck. Jim

1958 Ford

Resim
Mike's 1958 Ford It's a 1958 Ford F-100 Styleside Custom Cab bought February 1998 with only 52,400 original miles on it. There's a 223 straight 6 under the hood with a 1 barrel carb, and not much else (no AC, power or anything new, and acres of room to work). Inside is a standard 4 speed on the floor. This truck is in 99.9% original condition. The only things added are a vacuum gauge in the instrument panel, underdash AM radio, tire mounts and a small tool box in the bed. When I went on your website and viewed your gallery of "Farm Finds" I just had to send you my beauty! After I looked at all the other old rusty trucks sitting in fields, I didn't feel so bad. This will be my first restoration project ever! With the help of my husband and father, we plan on getting this baby on the road hopefully in the next 5-10 years! I recently emailed Ford Canada and requested some historical information on this truck, and they will be sending something to me soon (just to see what this truck looked like in the "good old days". This poor old truck has been sitting in my parents field at the farm for as long as I can remember (I'm 29 years old). I finally took the initiative and asked my father if I could have it and fix it up. Now the trouble to try to get the ownership in my name! No one remembers who the previous owner was (probably dead) so I go on a hunt to get it in my name! Wish me luck. Debbie

I live in Houston Texas and I am in the process of building a '53 Ford and I have a '52 waiting behind that one. Kyle

1954 Ford

Resim
Buck & Ken's 1954 Ford This 1954 Ford was bought by my uncle, and it was boringly a one family car locally owned in Prunedale Cal. for all those years. Me and my uncle are going to completely restore this "old truck". So that is looks brand new. We plan to take it down to the frame and clean and paint every thing. Hopefully when we are done with the 54 ford project we can send u more pictures of it when it is done with restoration.

1952 Ford F6

Resim
Martin's 1952 Ford We picked up "Faded Rose," a 1952 Ford F-6 (two ton) in Bernalillo, New Mexico this spring. On our trip to Placitas, New Mexico (just 6 miles up the Sandia Mountain foothills), her tired Chev. 283 froze up and I hauled her in to Albuquerque to "The Service Station" an old truck shop that does it all. Paul and Phil Fachan consulted with me and we agreed that a rebuilt Chev. 350 (same block and motor mounts) would work (sorry traditionalists, she has to climb some major hills). She's running now, and has a PTO dump bed and two speed rear end. Our major problem is wheels and tires. No one will work on The 20" five lug split rims (widow makers) any more, and I'm searching the junk yards and tire shops for some alternatives. I'm trying to stay low buck right now, but would love suggestions on the rim problem. One suggestion has been to try to find 19.5" so I can use tubeless tires. Another suggestion is to switch the hubs t...

1950 Ford

Here are a couple pics of my ol' '50 Ford 1/2 ton. I've had it since 1971 ($150) and I've driven the heck out of it. Either traveling around the West with my camper, hauling firewood, going to bluegrass festivals or just commuting to work from Crestline to San Bernardino. In 1989, I finally retired my old friend and started a long process of transformation into a street rod. I had no intention of ever doing this much in the first place. I bought a copy of Classic Truck magazine and I got the bug. I went to metal everywhere. I went to swap meets. I went to shows. I went to paint shops. I went to parts houses. And lets not forget wrecking yards. I finally got done this summer and now I can actually drive it. Oh ya! 1949 Ford

Resim
Dov Kredo's 1949 Ford Well, around here, this is a truck (what you call a truck is a pickup or a tender here). It is a 1949 F-8 that needs a lot of work, but will make a very nice item in my future fantazy - an Israeli Transportation Museum (there isn't one yet). There are two other truck in my collection - a 1950 Mac EH Tipper, very short wheel base, with a Volvo Diesel engine, and a 1959 Volvo Viking with locally built cab. The last one was bought from it's original owner 6 years ago in perfect running conditon! One must be aware that Israel is a very modern country, most of the trucks running around are modern, with the aging ones disappearing quickly - either scraped or exported to third world countries. Thus, all my trucks are very rare here. The porblem is that nobody really cares if nothing is left. Lucky for me, I have a friend living in a village, and he lets me park my trucks in his back yard. As you might guess, I love trucks of all kinds, especially the ...

1936 Ford Truck

Resim
Fred's 1936 Ford 1 1/2 ton Hi, my truck is a 1936 Ford 1-1/2 ton, dual rear wheel. It started life as a bakery delivery truck in San Diego Ca. I purchased it 4 years ago while on vacation in Virginia City, Nevada. When I picked it up I drove it up onto the trailer. The only part I am missing is the windshield crank. I applied for a lost title and finally got it. I added an original 1936 license plate to it when I got the title. Just this year (after I got the replacement title), I have begun working on it in earnest. I am currently disassembling it for restoration. I started working on rebuilding the original 21stud 85hp V8 engine and am close to assembling it in October. It is unbelievable that I have purchased 95% of all the internal engine parts NEW on E-bay and have saved over $750.00 on the engine parts cost. I went back and got the closed box for it this summer. It is in pretty shaky shape and it was a miracle it did not explode on the way back. Notice how my trailer side r...

1933 Ford 3 Ton

Resim
This is my grand-uncle's truck, it moved on it's own power in 1972 to it's current resting place. Everything is original and in place. Only missing one handle, to open the passenger door from the inside. The local ford dealer wanted it and offered him quite a bit for it, but he won't give it up, there are 66k miles on the odometer. It's located in Somerset, PA. Good thing is I'd probably only need to buy new tires and a battery, the thing might still run (if the oil pump can handle oil thats been sitting for 30 years). Otherwise just have to disassemble the engine and transmission and put it back together.

1933 Ford Fire Truck

Well here is my story: I own a Sign shop in New Mexico for over 20 years. I had my eye on a 45' hand crank crane for awhile hoping to someday get a chance to purchase the old thing. It had been sitting next to a competitors sign shop for years. Then out of the blue it was for sale! I bought it...... Now I needed an old truck to put it on. I originally was looking for a truck in the 40's or early 50's. I asked everyone I knew to keep an eye out for an old truck. Just a few days latter, one friend had found an old truck for me. We went to see it... man was it OLD.... little too old, was my first thought. But to cool to let go. I bought it for $1800.00 + $20.00 for delivery. After 1 year of bust ass work I had the coolest truck around... now if I get the crane installed, I'll have it made.... I will be able to work in the air with the old classic style! I finally installed the hand crank 45' crane on my truck. It sits in the rack cradle. Should be a cool sign...

1960 Dodge

Ryan's 1960 Dodge This is my recently accquired 1960 Dodge D600 Dump Truck. It has a 22000 GVR, and a wide 318 with a two barrel carb, 4spd manual tranny with a 2spd rear. It runs ok and drives...... like a big truck ! I purchased it from a farmer who had used it in his fields for over 20 years. The price was rediculosly low, and I couldnt live without it. I plan to restore it someday, and use it for a car hauler/dump truck
