Bob's 1938 Fargo

I used most of the original frame which I boxed and backed halved it to make room for the 4 link suspension with ford 9" and 18.5" wide Mickies, the front suspension is a mustang II set up so I had power steering and brakes, I took a 360 and put on X heads, polished and ported, cam etc to build motor so it should be around 400 horse followed up by a rebuilt 727 tranny, still use original rad and it keeps it nice and cool, the truck retains all of original steel panels with the exception of the tubs in the box, I got rid of center grill section and smoothed front end a bit and hinged the hood at the top to avoid scratching the lights. The interior I used the second set of buckets from a late model caravan (grey leather) and made all the rest to match, Lokar floor shifter, tilt column, new gauges that fit right in the existing holes so really the inside is not cut up at all, windshield still cranks out, I put 100 hrs of block sanding high solids primer to smooth it right out as we all know trucks were made to work and are usually peppered full of little dings, all the original parts I didn't use went to a friend of mine who has an original 38 and man was he happy to get as you cant find parts for these things anywhere, I have put 500 miles on it know and got all the bugs worked out so look forward to a summer of fun with the old girl, I got personalized license plates 1BAD RAM and she sure is.
