1953 Marmon Ford

Resim
Jon's 1953 Marmon Ford The truck is a '53 Marmon Ford forest fire rig owned by a lumber co in northern Calif. The truck was all original 6 volt 6 cylinder with a 500 gallon tank and hose real and power take off to draft and pump. I have converted it to 12 volt and am putting on a flat bed like the original and am saving the tank and equip to restore later and set on truck as a unit. All the dash plates are on it, original key and tag with key code were in the ignition, speedometer works and truck has only 13800 miles, I redid all the brakes and a new carb, still has the oil bath cleaner everything in good shape except a lot of rust, inside dash and guages pretty good steering wheel says 50th aniversary . It is a pretty big truck so it is a lot of work. I have been on it for a couple years.

1952 Ford F6

Martin's 1952 Ford We picked up "Faded Rose," a 1952 Ford F-6 (two ton) in Bernalillo, New Mexico this spring. On our trip to Placitas, New Mexico (just 6 miles up the Sandia Mountain foothills), her tired Chev. 283 froze up and I hauled her in to Albuquerque to "The Service Station" an old truck shop that does it all. Paul and Phil Fachan consulted with me and we agreed that a rebuilt Chev. 350 (same block and motor mounts) would work (sorry traditionalists, she has to climb some major hills). She's running now, and has a PTO dump bed and two speed rear end. Our major problem is wheels and tires. No one will work on The 20" five lug split rims (widow makers) any more, and I'm searching the junk yards and tire shops for some alternatives. I'm trying to stay low buck right now, but would love suggestions on the rim problem. One suggestion has been to try to find 19.5" so I can use tubeless tires. Another suggestion is to switch the hubs t

Johns 1952 Ford Here are a few pictures of my "new" 1952(ish) F-1. I say '52ish due to it having a '50 cab and '53 bed. I recently got it and the parts truck to my parents place and have began dismantling the parts truck (a '52 panel truck). I am using the parts truck's frame because it is all original, unlike my trucks which has been converted to 4x4. So far I have been obtaining as many parts as I can and have begun restoration on the frame. It is going to be a long process (lengthened mostly by one more year at penn state) but I'm looking forward to it. If you are in the Pittsburgh area and have any parts or know of any good junk yards feel free..

Here are a couple pics of my ol' '50 Ford 1/2 ton. I've had it since 1971 ($150) and I've driven the heck out of it. Either traveling around the West with my camper, hauling firewood, going to bluegrass festivals or just commuting to work from Crestline to San Bernardino. In 1989, I finally retired my old friend and started a long process of transformation into a street rod. I had no intention of ever doing this much in the first place. I bought a copy of Classic Truck magazine and I got the bug. I went to metal everywhere. I went to swap meets. I went to shows. I went to paint shops. I went to parts houses. And lets not forget wrecking yards. I finally got done this summer and now I can actually drive it. Oh ya! Dov Kredo's 1949 Ford Well, around here, this is a truck (what you call a truck is a pickup or a tender here). It is a 1949 F-8 that needs a lot of work, but will make a very nice item in my future fantazy - an Israeli Transportation Museum (there isn't one yet). There are two other truck in my collection - a 1950 Mac EH Tipper, very short wheel base, with a Volvo Diesel engine, and a 1959 Volvo Viking with locally built cab. The last one was bought from it's original owner 6 years ago in perfect running conditon! One must be aware that Israel is a very modern country, most of the trucks running around are modern, with the aging ones disappearing quickly - either scraped or exported to third world countries. Thus, all my trucks are very rare here. The porblem is that nobody really cares if nothing is left. Lucky for me, I have a friend living in a village, and he lets me park my trucks in his back yard. As you might guess, I love trucks of all kinds, especially the

Antonio's 1947 Ford Here are photos of a 1947 PU directly from S. Paulo, Brazil where I live. This PU nicknamed "Grandpa", had when I bought it a 70's Galaxie and a 4 speed trans on. After a lot a serching, which is not an easy task in Brazil, found a mechanic who had a few flatheads and original 3 speed transmissions in excelent conditions. Now Grandpa is in the process of receiving engine and trans in a few weeks time. Will bring it back to 6volts and upholstery same as original. One thing remains open: is exterior paint. What you see is a black and white finish that I may bring to full original black. Antonio L. D'Auria S. Paulo - Brazil

Todd's 1938 Ford / Seagrave Fire Truck This is a 1938 Ford / Seagrave Fire Truck. Acquired in October of 2000, our family uses this great truck for many parades and fire musters throughout the year. Fred's 1936 Ford 1 1/2 ton Hi, my truck is a 1936 Ford 1-1/2 ton, dual rear wheel. It started life as a bakery delivery truck in San Diego Ca. I purchased it 4 years ago while on vacation in Virginia City, Nevada. When I picked it up I drove it up onto the trailer. The only part I am missing is the windshield crank. I applied for a lost title and finally got it. I added an original 1936 license plate to it when I got the title. Just this year (after I got the replacement title), I have begun working on it in earnest. I am currently disassembling it for restoration. I started working on rebuilding the original 21stud 85hp V8 engine and am close to assembling it in October. It is unbelievable that I have purchased 95% of all the internal engine parts NEW on E-bay and have saved over $750.00 on the engine parts cost. I went back and got the closed box for it this summer. It is in pretty shaky shape and it was a miracle it did not explode on the way back. Notice how my trailer side r

This is my grand-uncle's truck, it moved on it's own power in 1972 to it's current resting place. Everything is original and in place. Only missing one handle, to open the passenger door from the inside. The local ford dealer wanted it and offered him quite a bit for it, but he won't give it up, there are 66k miles on the odometer. It's located in Somerset, PA. Good thing is I'd probably only need to buy new tires and a battery, the thing might still run (if the oil pump can handle oil thats been sitting for 30 years). Otherwise just have to disassemble the engine and transmission and put it back together.

Well here is my story: I own a Sign shop in New Mexico for over 20 years. I had my eye on a 45' hand crank crane for awhile hoping to someday get a chance to purchase the old thing. It had been sitting next to a competitors sign shop for years. Then out of the blue it was for sale! I bought it...... Now I needed an old truck to put it on. I originally was looking for a truck in the 40's or early 50's. I asked everyone I knew to keep an eye out for an old truck. Just a few days latter, one friend had found an old truck for me. We went to see it... man was it OLD.... little too old, was my first thought. But to cool to let go. I bought it for $1800.00 + $20.00 for delivery. After 1 year of bust ass work I had the coolest truck around... now if I get the crane installed, I'll have it made.... I will be able to work in the air with the old classic style! I finally installed the hand crank 45' crane on my truck. It sits in the rack cradle. Should be a cool sign
